"I called PT Maint. & Mechanical after getting an outrageous estimate from my home warranty's company they sent out to fix a very minor gas leak in the pipes next to the furnace. I was positive that the only repair needed was to tighten one of the pipe connections. After getting an est. of $660 to basically take apart my entire furnace on a "hunch" at what the issue was, Pete came in and saved the day. He confirmed my suspicions by quickly identifying the problem, took the time to show me where it was and explained what needed to be done... all for the grand total of $85!!! He was honest, polite, efficient, and cleaned up the area after he was done. He even took the time to answer a question about my A/C that was on my inspection report from buying the house. I can't recommend Pete enough!! I'm planning to join their maintenance 3-yr plan and if I have to have any future work done on my furnace or A/C, I will be calling him back without hesitation. I am so very thankful I found him after having dealt for 2 days with that other deceitful, unethical furnace repair company."

The quality of his work was fantastic, and he made sure everything was working properly before he left. He also took the time to answer my questions and educate me on heating and AC systems. He even came back a few days later when I had a minor issue with the fuse (due to power issues in the area) and showed me how to fix it. "We were fortunate to find this company. Our concerns going in cold to the HVAC scene in Austin were numerous. We wanted more from a contractor than just a sale/install . Jon and crew were able to offer a comprehensive plan for our home. The project began with a blower door test to get baseline data as to how much air was being lost. After sealing leaks, repairing and reinsulating ducts the team was able to control the new (York) compressor and plenum. Jon made all the arrangements for Austin Energy site visits and final inspections. Two days for install. The members of my family are surprised when they look at the thermostats setting. Turn it up it's too cold is the normal refrain. If you are shopping for a contractor you may want to ask if they can do an energy audit as well as an install. Austin Star are the real deal!"

When my 3 year old AC stopped working I contacted the company who installed it and they didnt have any openings for over a week and it was already approaching 90 degrees. I spoke to ATD and they had someone come out the next day and for less money than the other company. The gentlemen who came out were pleasant, professional and very helpful explaining the problems and my options. They even went out of their way to find out if the parts I needed were under warranty and when they were, came back and put them in and the owner Jacob has been wonderful working with me on payments as this happened at the end of the month just prior to payday.
